While quizzes might not be the most inventive way to learn, they're still useful for memorizing and recalling facts, assessing knowledge, or getting quick info at the end of a lecture or presentation. Because of their utility, there are tons of different apps, websites, and games out there for swiftly creating and delivering everything from quizzes and flash cards to polls and exit tickets. Some lean more into play, allowing teachers to host classroom game shows, while others shift more toward learning, facilitating formative assessments. No matter the focus, we've looked at all the tools out there for quizzing and selected our favorites below.

Quizizz has grown thoughtfully over time to be our definitive top choice, whether you're running quick quiz games or looking to craft and launch deeper slide-based lessons with embedded assessments. Notably, it's got a decent-enough free version (with ads) that lets you run basic quizzes with exceptional question variety. However, the paid version (no ads) takes things to the next level with video and audio embeds, asynchronous learning, and answer explanations. This turns Quizizz into a lesson-delivery tool edging closely to platforms like Nearpod.

Easily one of the more popular tools on this list, Kahoot! defined the quiz game genre. While Kahoot's suite of products has gotten increasingly bloated and confusing, the slick presentation of the quiz experience remains unmatched for K-12 classrooms. For now, it remains for us the go-to option for quick, fun quiz games. They've also added a post-quiz exit ticket that gets students reflecting on their learning and feelings.

Kahoot! and Quizizz are e-learning web-apps commonly used in conducting online quizzes. This research was aimed at: (1) knowing the students' perceptions of Kahoot! and Quizizz's efficacy in a daily online quiz, (2) figuring out the students' choices and (3) finding out their reasons. The research design was qualitative research concerning phenomenological studies with a sample of 250 students of English Education Department of STKIP PGRI Trenggalek. It used a close-ended questionnaire to collect the data of the students' perceptions. Data analysis of the questionnaires was analyzed quantitatively by implementing the Likert scale. Research findings of the first questionnaire toward Kahoot! and Quizizz's efficacy gained supportive responses with a total score of 15.484. The second questionnaire toward the students' choices and their reasons resulted in the total score 15.002 (Quizizz) and 12.248 (Kahoot!). In conclusion, Quizziz was more effective to foster students' enthusiasm for learning and better than Kahoot! for some reasons.

We are developing new psychometric methods for student response data analysis. Is there a way to export the individual responses of all students to all questions for a quiz such as a CSV or EXCEL or XML data structure. It is important that the data file contains the responses of individual students to individual questions. Although I could find a method for exporting the response data from 1 student to all questions in a quiz to a data file, we do not want to repeat this process 50 times for a class of 50 students and then merge the resulting data files.

Whoever marked this solved needs to remove and put partially solved. New quizzes is supposed to be where Canvas is moving, so how do you do this with new quizzes is the question. New Quizzes is not setup the same way as classic quizzes and does not have the same quiz statistics csv function

To see the responses to your form or quiz, sign in to your Microsoft 365 account at Open the appropriate form from your My forms page, and then select the Responses tab at the top of the page. Learn more.

Kahoot makes your work easy by providing pre-made questions in its bank. Its library has plenty of quality images to choose from. You only need to choose what to use and incorporate it into the quiz. You can even add YouTube videos or blend multiple questions into polls, slides, puzzles, and even blend Kahoots to make sessions more enjoyable.

You may tailor games to the potential of each student, which they can play in groups or individually. Kahoot also serves you with a quiz creator, which you can use to add multiple choice questions to the quizzes and receive feedback through polls.

On Quizizz, the teacher will customize the feedback students see after every question on the quiz. Feedback will be in the form of premade or custom memes, which will be displayed based on your correct or wrong answers. You can control the use of question timers, leaderboards, and music.

Substitution: In Kahoot, students participate in the quiz to answer questions after completing a unit. Same with Quizizz, the students will take an online quiz on the platform rather than the traditional paper quiz.

Kahoot is a remarkable learning tool that motivates you as a student to learn through interactive gamification. It is a user-friendly and mobile-friendly platform with an easy-to-use interface for creating quizzes and games.

Quizizz is an app that allows users to learn and study on their own or participate in group quizzes, assignments, and presentations. It is used by more than 70 million people per month in schools, homes, and offices around the world. The app offers millions of quizzes covering every subject, and users can join games from any device without the app.

Once a quiz has been added to the course and the Quiz settings established, the teacher can start to build the quiz. The teacher can access the quiz to edit the questions by clicking directly on the Quiz name on the course home page and clicking the Add question button (You can also make questions in the Question bank without first creating a quiz. These questions may then be used later.)

Note: It is also possible to import pre-made questions into your quiz, from Quiz administration>Question bank>Import. See Import questions for more information. Sample questions are available from the Moodle.net content database.

If you have questions in the question bank, you can add random questions to your quiz by clicking 'Add' and then '+ a random question'. This might be useful if you have students in a class taking a quiz at the same time because they are unlikely to get the same questions at the same time. The same question will never appear twice in a quiz. If you include several random questions, different questions will always be chosen for each. If you mix random questions with non-random questions, then the random questions will be selected so that they do not duplicate one of the non-random questions. This does imply that you need to provide enough questions in the category from which the random questions are chosen; otherwise, the student will be shown a friendly error message. The more questions you provide, the more likely students will get different questions on each attempt. When a quiz with random questions is retaken, the random questions will be different from the ones in previous attempts. For a discussion on the behaviour of random questions, see MDL-6340.

Questions can be stored and retrieved from categories in the Question bank. When you make a new question, it defaults to the category with the course name. So if you make a quiz in the Senior Physics course, questions will automatically be added to "Default for Senior Physics". You can opt to have your quiz questions in a category of their own ("Quizname") or to add a sub-category.

You can set how many points each question is worth by changing the number in the box to the right of each question, and you can change the maximum grade by changing the number in the box top right at the top of the quiz. The default is one point per question and a 100.00 maximum grade.

NOTE: To get a more accurate view of how a student would view your quiz, it is advised to log in with a "dummy" student account created by the admin for testing activities. This is more reliable than the 'switch role to student' feature.

Be very careful about editing questions! It is OK to make small changes (e.g. fix a spelling mistake or change the grade for a partially correct response), but if you make a major change (for example, deleting a choice from a multiple choice question), then you may break the existing quiz attempts. After editing questions that affect the grading, you will need to regrade the quiz.
